Rolling mill bearing

Introduction

Rolling mill bearings refer to those used in the rolling industry, that is, for the rolling of non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals, and non-metallic products. They are used at the roll diameter of the rolling roll system and on the drum. Usually, four-row cylindrical roller bearings are used to bear radial loads, and thrust roller or thrust ball bearings, as well as angular contact ball or radial roller bearings, are used to bear axial loads. Nowadays, most of them are lubricated and cooled by means of oil-air lubrication > or oil mist lubrication and grease.

Characteristic

Radial bearing

Double-row self-aligning spherical roller bearings: They have the characteristic of self-aligning, can withstand medium loads, and are mostly used in the backup rolls of small and medium-sized rolling mills.

Four-row cylindrical roller bearings: It is easy to obtain high machining accuracy. They are suitable for the backup rolls of high-speed and high-precision rolling mills, can withstand high radial forces, but cannot withstand axial forces, and separate thrust bearings need to be added.

Four-row tapered roller bearings: They can withstand both radial and axial loads simultaneously and are mostly used in the work rolls and backup rolls of large rolling mills.

Axial thrust bearing:

Tapered roller bearings with two rows: They can withstand bidirectional axial loads and are suitable for high-speed and high-load rolling mills.

Deep groove ball bearings: They can withstand radial and bidirectional axial loads and are suitable for high-speed and low-load rolling mills.

Four-point contact ball bearings: They can also withstand radial and bidirectional axial loads and are suitable for high-speed and low-load rolling mills.

Application Scenarios

The application scenarios of rolling mill bearings mainly include high - speed wire rod rolling mills and steel rolling mills in the metallurgical industry.

Application Scenarios of High - speed Wire Rod Rolling Mill Bearings

The bearings of high-speed wire rod rolling mills are mainly used to meet the increasing demand for construction steel. Due to the special nature of the work of high-speed wire rod rolling mills, more stringent requirements are put forward for the matching bearings. The high-speed wire rod production line requires high reliability, wear resistance, long fatigue life and good impact toughness. The bearings of high-speed wire rod rolling mills mainly have two structural forms: four-row tapered roller bearings and double-row cylindrical roller bearings. When designing, the problems of lubrication and heat dissipation are fully considered to ensure continuous, stable and reliable operation under high-speed and high-impact conditions.

Application Scenarios of Steel Rolling Mill Bearings

Steel rolling mills are representative equipment of raw material manufacturing machinery and are used to produce steel materials of different shapes. In the rolling mill, the steel material is pressed and rolled between rotating rolls, usually at high temperatures. Four-row tapered roller bearings are used for the work rolls to support the radial and axial loads generated during rolling, while four-row cylindrical roller bearings and multi-row tapered roller bearings are used for the backup rolls to suppress the deformation of the work rolls.
